The Golden Rule: Your parents are right. When they ask: “Should you pack _______ ?“ ...the answer is always YES.

PACKING LIST

Bedding / Toiletries: Each cabin has a cot and a mattress for each camper, and clean communal bathroom facilities
  • Pillow + pillowcase
  • Sleeping bag or blanket
  • Fitted twin bed sheets (top + bottom)
  • Towel + washcloth
  • Toothbrush + toothpaste
  • Soap + deodorant
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Contact lenses/Glasses
  • other required personal hygiene products

Clothes: You should have at least one running outfit for each day and clothes for a wide range of weather
  • minimum (7) running outfits
  • Socks, socks, socks (are there ever enough?)
  • Undergarments
  • Pajamas
  • casual shorts
  • casual pants/jeans
  • T-shirts
  • Sweatshirt and Sweatpants
  • Swimsuit/Towel
  • Rain coat
  • Cap / hat

Shoes: Your shoes might get wet at camp
  • (2) pairs of running shoes
  • Newspaper for drying shoes
  • Water shoes
  • Sandals (for shower and waterfront)
(no need for XC spikes - leave them at home)

Other Important stuff:
  • Prescription medicines - provide all info during registration
  • Water Bottle (maybe 2)
  • Watch (and charger)
  • Phone (and charger)
  • Umbrella
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Dirty laundry bag
  • Flashlight​
Snacks / Water: food is unlimited at 3 meals per day.  Small snacks/drinks are available for cash purchase most evenings.  Water bottle refill stations are available around camp!  No need to bring packs of water

If there is a particular snack or food you want: bring it to camp in a resealable container for safe storage in your cabin!

Weather: The goal is to stay warm and dry all week.  Average temps are 50-80°F and there are chilly mountain mornings, hot humid and sunny afternoons, and cold rainy days.  Check the forecast and do your best to prepare for everything.  Click here to start a google search for August weather at BMXC.

Extras: There may be other items you want to bring that will make your stay more comfortable so feel free to bring what you need.  Examples: frisbee, stuffed animal, running log, summer reading book, deck of cards, etc.

Laundry: available for emergencies only, being enough clothes to make it through the week and plan to pack your dirty clothes to bring home.
